Delhi AJAX hacker(s) wanted

Uzanto is looking to hire AJAX talent in Delhi. If you read this blog and you’re in Delhi, there’s a good chance you’re the kind of person we’re looking for.
We’re working on something really cool, and this is a chance to be doing really cutting-edge UI work. It’s all product development, not boring services work.
Be prepared to show me some cool JavaScript code that you’ve written, and answer detailed questions about it.
Candidates who are clued in to what’s happening in the web and are hip to the latest trends (LAMP, Ruby, etc) will be given priority treatment. We’re not looking for warm bodies here, we’re looking for clueful techs who are ready to take it to the next level. I don’t care what your GPA was or where you went to school, I care about what you’ve built and whether you can prove to me that you get things done.
We offer excellent pay and benefits, and a killer work environment.
p.s. If you’re this person but are in the bay area, I know a great startup that is hiring. Ping me (jon at uzanto) for details, and I’ll forward your resume.

    Jon,
My experience in hiring people in India who understand AJAX and other Web 2.0 trends is – that you got to train them. And the difference is no more than 2 months. Really! It’s more about the culture and drive than the technology. Learning and understanding AJAX, as you would imagine, is pretty straight-forward – as long as somebody provide them a bit of direction.
Even better – hire somebody who has done freelancing before. And most of these are smarter than the normal engineers / programmers – particularly for the company and culture of type you are talking about.
    Good luck 🙂

    Ashish,
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your experiences.
Yeah, I think that the freelancer personality type (the sort that is _very_ excited about the technology, and must work on the latest stuff, and loves to learn) is exactly what I’m seeking.
I’ve built my own engineers from scratch before: the Flash work I’ve done was all with Java engineers who I trained in Flash! So it looks like it’s time for me to bone up on Prototype and Scriptaculus, and get a proper training program together.

I read your blog and am in Delhi. And am working on ajax, (php with xajax), Ruby on Rails ( with prototype and scriptaculous).
But i run my own small company[3 people] and don’t want to take up a job.
Is there a way I could still work with you?
